Sarah Schira’s book of delightful gnome knitting patterns, The Gnomes of Grimblewood, is now available and Sarah is hosting one of her fabulous knitalongs to knit Gnorri, the pocket beard gnome in the book.
What makes Sarah’s knitalongs so fabulous, aside from the enchanting gnomes they produce? Her patterns are very well written and she always provides additional support. For this KAL she will be doing weekly Zoom sessions to introduce the work for the coming week. You can attend them live, or watch the recordings later.
You will need a copy of the Gnomes of Grimblewood book in order to participate, and 3 colors of fingering or DK weight yarn. We expect to run out of the books within the next day or so, but we do have more on order that are supposed to arrive before the KAL starts in November
We have a variety of gnome kits available in both our beloved Brooks yarn and yummy Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere
You can find out more about the KAL on the Imagined Landscapes website, including some inspirational ideas, such as "Gnorri's also perfect for playing around with. What if the pocket was on his hat? What if you used striping yarn on the hat? What if you found little things for the pockets?"
It's time to get Gnoming! I'm thinking of giving everyone a gnome for Christmas. I can't think of a better gift.
