This is a lovely doily rug pattern from Hoooked, and designed by MaritParit, a well-known Norwegian artisan.  Marit shares her inspiration from a small island just outside Alesund, Norway.

Ribbon XL is a soft, recycled tape yarn made of 100% cotton clips.  Leftover fabric strips are selected according to color, shredded into yarn fiber and spun again, and knitted into a lightweight tube yarn.  Ribbon XL is itch-free and slightly elastic. 

The finished rug measures about 40 inches in diameter.

Kit contains:

  • 6 skeins of Ribbon XL in shades of gray--each is 250g and 120 meters (approx. 9 oz and 131 yards)
  • Size US 15 bamboo crochet hook
