Morning Sunshine Cowl Kit

Morning Sunshine is a fun cowl from Stephanie Lotven that combines stockinette, garter, lace, smocking stitch, and a cross stitch border.  A small project jam-packed with fun!

Morning Sunshine is knit with fingering weight yarn.  We have paired it with 6 colors of Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere mini skeins.

The cowl is worked seamlessly from the top down.  Unlike traditional tube cowls that might not sit neatly, the shawl-shaped construction lets your knitting shine by creating a triangular front and shortened back.  The shape is wonderful, wearable, and just plain fun to knit.

The pattern contains photo tutorials and links to video tutorials for stitches that might be new to you, so do not be intimidated. 

SIZE: One size

TOTAL YARDAGE: 405 yards/ 370 meters

GAUGE: 24 sts and 32 rounds = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette flat and in the round after blocking.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS: 

• Neck Opening: 20 inches / 51 cm
• Front Length: 22 inches / 56 cm
• Back Length: 8 inches / 20.5 cm

The kit includes enough yarn to make the stated size:

• 6 mini skeins of Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere (70% superwash merino, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon / 88 yards per mini-skein.
