Simple Math for Knitting and Crochet - July 20 1:00-2:30 PM
$ 20.00

6 available

Saturday July 20 1:00-2:30pm

This will be an online class conducted via Zoom on your computer, tablet or phone. You will receive an instructional email once you register.

This class is for the knitter or crocheter who is not confident about calculating how many stitches to cast on when their gauge is a few stitches different from the pattern gauge. It is meant to be a very gentle review of how to calculate percentages and use them to modify any knit or crochet pattern.

It will also cover how to use your gauge swatch to estimate the amount of yarn you will need.

Cost: $20

Minimum # Students: 3

Instructor: Emilie Petty

Emilie Petty learned to knit by teaching herself from a boxed set of book and needles. Once she figured out that knitting smooth yarn was preferable for learning, knitting became an immediate addiction. Nothing was out of limits for her. She believed that taking on a new project was a chance to learn something new.

Emilie became a part of the Quixotic Fibers Family when, after visiting the shop three days in a row and joking about working, Curtis offered her a job. We haven’t been able to get rid of her since.
