In this class Leef will teach you a variety of techniques and tricks that she has picked up in her many years of knitting.
Learn some nifty knitting techniques to make your knitting look, well.... neater. Learn
- how to neaten your selvedges and short rows.
- different cast-ons and cast-offs, and when to best use them.
- how to make increases and decreases that are neater
- knit/ purl transitions
Ever wonder about slipped stitches and when to slip purlwise or knitwise, and what to do if the pattern doesn't tell you? You will learn a lot of good tips in this class.
Skills required to take this class: Know the basics of knitting and purling, caston and castoff.
Supplies to bring:
- 4 ounces of a worsted weight yarn in a solid light color. A wool or wool blend is preferred
- Needles that produce a nice fabric with your yarn of choice
- Notions: scissors, measuring tape, etc.

Registration and Cancellation Policies

If the minimum number of students have not signed up 3 days before the class, we will unfortunately have to cancel the class. We usually require a minimum number of students only for classes where the instructor has to travel some distance. If we have to cancel a class, you will be notified 3 days in advance and will be given a full refund.
Cancellation: There is a $2 cancellation fee. At least a 3-day notice is required for cancellation without additional charges. Cancellations with 24-72 hour notice are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice are not refundable.
