You've knit that sweater, but now you need to seam it! Join us as we practice different seaming methods for the different parts of a sweater and learn tips and tricks for weaving in your ends. This hands-on class will teach you everything you need to know to finish your knits carefully so they last for years. Practice materials are provided, but feel free to bring in your sweater project to work on and get personalized advice and help.

Homework: none, but if you want to seam your sweater during class time, please wet block and dry your sweater pieces (email if you have questions about how to do this!)

Level: Beginner

Minimum # students: 2

Instructor: Sarah Walworth

Sarah first learned to knit as a child from her mom, but re-learned as an adult when she needed a way to keep her hands busy. It quickly cascaded into re-writing patterns to fit her, learning innovative techniques, and trying all different ways to tension the yarn. She now makes her living as a knitting technical editor and loves to pass on the craft to whomever she can get to hold needles and yarn for a few minutes.
