We will direct warp our loom for an 8 inch wide color and weave sampler. This class will go over project design, yarn sett and rigid heddle size selection. The focus will be on good warping practice, tension and selvedge control, weaving with two shuttles, and beat consistency. We will also learn how to hem stitch plus how to make good knotted fringe.
Things to bring:
Your rigid heddle loom, 7.5 or 8 dent rigid heddle, clamps and reed/heddle hook, and 3 shuttles
Bring an empty paper towel cardboard tube.
Bring three different colors of worsted weight yarn. 3.5 or 4 ounces each. Bring only wool or a wool blend. No brushed or fuzzy yarn, smooth PLIED yarn.

If the minimum number of students have not signed up 3 days before the class, we will unfortunately have to cancel the class. We usually require a minimum number of students only for classes where the instructor has to travel some distance. If we have to cancel a class, you will be notified 3 days in advance and will be given a full refund.
Cancellation: There is a $2 cancellation fee. At least a 3-day notice is required for cancellation without additional charges. Cancellations with 24-72 hour notice are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice are not refundable.
