Chevron Baby Blanket Kit - Clean Cotton

We love this cheerful modern baby blanket pattern from Espace Tricot.  It is a two-row pattern that is easy to memorize.  The pattern is free on Ravelry.

Clean Cotton offers an affordable yet soft and durable option for this blanket.  Clean Cotton is colorfast and durable enough to use for washcloths, and knits up surprisingly soft.  Definitely soft enough for a comfy blanket.

This yarn has the added benefit of being good for the environment.  Universal Yarn took fibers leftover from making other yarns- the soft too-light fluff, the bits that otherwise would have been lost to the waste stream - and made this handy, durable, and surprisingly soft high quality yarn. They call this 85% recycled cotton/15% recycled polyester blend "clean cotton" because it's a yarn you can feel good about using.

The pattern as written makes a 27.5" by 36" blanket and is easily modified by adding 24 stitch repeats.

The regular size kit includes:

• 4 skeins of Clean Cotton in the main color (131 yards per 75 gram skein)
  
• 1 skein of Clean Cotton in each of the 5 contrasting colors.
• The pattern is free from the designer (Espace Tricot) on Ravelry.  We will include a printed copy of the pattern with your kit.
  

Two kits would allow you to double the size of the blanket if you would like to make it larger.
